Brent Lonker grew up in Kansas and was a childhood friend of a little girl the world now knows as Martina McBride. When he wrote his first song at the age of 13 or 14, he gave it to Martina and had the enormous satisfaction of riding past her parents' store on his bicycle a few days later and hearing her family's band playing his song.
Lonker went on to become a lawyer although he still considers himself to primarily be a rancher and a singer/songwriter/musician. He wrote his single "Tuff" about 3 epic clashes between champion bullrider Tuff Hedeman and the killer bull, Bodacious.
